2. Ar’Darius Washington, S, Ravens

This year was always meant to be a developmental season for Ar’Darius Washington, so him landing on this list isn’t necessarily an indictment of his talent or potential.

But it’s hard to argue that he hasn’t been one of the least impactful players on the active roster this season.

Washington has appeared in just two games this season. Despite countless injuries to the Ravens’ secondary, the team has opted to leave him as a healthy scratch for almost every game this year.

In his only two appearances, Washington was on the field for just two defensive snaps (one in each game) and 12 total special-teams snaps (six in each game).

Not only has Washington not contributed on defense despite a pretty thin safety group, but the coaching staff doesn’t even trust him in a regular role on special teams.

Evidently, the Ravens don’t believe he’s ready for NFL action at this moment.

Washington was signed as an undrafted free agent shortly following the 2021 NFL Draft and many immediately pegged him as one of the most likely UDFAs to make the 53-man roster.

That’s exactly what happened with the former TCU standout putting together a strong enough summer to earn a spot on the team. However, that hasn’t exactly resulted in playing time.

That doesn’t mean Washington won’t have a greater role in the future, and the team might be forced to play him if they suffer another injury at either slot corner or safety.

But for now, Ar’Darius Washington doesn’t have much of a role on the team.
