No surprise here. After a tumultuous Week 10, the Baltimore Ravens still remain the favorites to win the AFC North.
According to WynnBET, the Ravens’ odds of topping their division are -145.
Behind them, the Cleveland Browns have +400 odds to win, the Cincinnati Bengals have +500 odds, and the Pittsburgh Steelers have +600 odds.
Despite falling to a very beatable Miami Dolphins team in Week 10, the Ravens look fairly in control of their division.
That is, as in control as any team could be.
Each AFC North team has been sat down at some point this season, questioning how good the division really is.
The Ravens remain favorites to win AFC North divisional crown
Currently, the Ravens sit in first, but they only have a one-win lead over the other three teams.
The Bengals could be the biggest surprise this season and threaten the Ravens’ playoff hopes. Coming off a bye, the Bengals’ identity still has some kinks to work out, but the team is chockful of young and promising talent in Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase.
The Bengals beat the Ravens. But the Browns beat the Bengals. The Steelers beat the Browns. The Steelers tied the Lions last week (ha!). In this long and interwoven NFL food chain, there’s no clear winner, just a heap of win-loss records that don’t mean much right now.
If the AFC North were an animal kingdom, no one has firmly established themselves as the predator of the pack. While we could propose that this Ravens team has looked the most consistent in comparison to their AFC North rivals, that’s still not saying a lot.
Only more games and weeks of tantalizing matchups will decide the ultimate AFC North champ and who gets the automatic playoff berth. Pray it’s the Baltimore Ravens.
