1. Rashod Bateman

Ravens rookie Rashod Bateman came into this season with a lot of hype. Like Marquise Brown, fans had high expectations for him to break the receiver curse in Baltimore.

They were also hoping that he would be the answer that would awaken the Ravens’ passing game.

However, because of a groin injury that required surgery, we had to wait for a while before he made his debut. Due to the surgery, he missed the team’s first five games.

However, since he’s returned, he’s had a huge impact on this team already. In four games this season, Bateman has 18 catches for 241 yards. What’s most impressive about his performance is that 15 of those catches converted first downs.

Early on, Bateman has shown that he can be the reliable chain mover that the Ravens desperately needed. It’s only a matter of time before the touchdowns start coming along.

Against the Dolphins, Bateman caught six passes for 80 yards. The Dolphins played a lot of Cover 0 and Cover 1 which gave the Ravens’ offense fits.

However, Bateman made several tough catches over the middle which gave the Ravens a few first downs. Even though it wasn’t a good night for the offense, it was clear that Bateman was one of the best players on the field.

It was also Sammy Watkin’s first game back so it will be interesting to see how the trio of Brown, Bateman, and Watkins will work moving forward.

They should complement each other very well, so hopefully once Watkins gets his legs under him, it will open up the offense for Lamar Jackson.

With the way Rashod Bateman has already started this season, Ravens fans should be very excited for his future in Baltimore.
