The Baltimore Ravens are set to square off with the 3-6 Chicago Bears on Sunday. Both teams are coming off rather disappointing losses and will be looking for a rebound this week.
For the Ravens, they absolutely cannot afford another upset loss after a stunning 22-10 defeat at the hands of the lowly Miami Dolphins on Thursday Night Football.
Meanwhile, the Bears have lost four in a row last winning on Oct. 10. They’re starved for a win and have upset on their mind as they play host to the Ravens.
There weren’t too many appealing prop bets to choose from this week, so we decided it would be best to select the single best prop bet to take a chance on.
Let’s take a look at that prop bet. As always, all odds are courtesy of WynnBet.
1. Lamar Jackson, QB, Ravens: 1.5 touchdown passes (o/u)
Lamar Jackson has cooled down a little since his incredible stretch of games earlier in the year. In his four games since that incredible 442-yard performance against the Indianapolis Colts, Jackson has thrown just six touchdowns to go along with five interceptions.
This is still Lamar Jackson we’re talking about and he’s capable of taking over in any game he plays. But his numbers this season don’t exactly point to him reaching the over on this prop.
Jackson has thrown for more than one passing touchdown in just two games this season. Although he’s been putting up some big numbers, he hasn’t been able to find the end zone consistently.
And there’s no reason to expect that changes in Week 11.
Despite their poor record, the Bears actually host the NFL’s 10th-best pass defense and a pretty talented secondary. Throwing against the Chicago defense will be no easy task, even with Khalil Mack now out for the year.
On top of that, the Ravens should also see the return of running back Latavius Murray this week. Prior to his injury, Murray was a touchdown machine running for four scores in just six games.
The veteran running back was among the NFL leaders in touchdowns before he was sidelined for a few weeks. The Ravens love using Murray down near the goal line which could further eat into Jackson’s chances of throwing for more than one touchdown.
It’s always risky to bet on touchdowns as they’re so volatile and difficult to predict, but the odds are stacked against Jackson this week.
Play it safe and bet the under.
