3. Jaylon Ferguson, OLB, Ravens

Jaylon Ferguson is kind of the forgotten man on the Ravens defense. Drafted in the third round in 2019, Ferguson hasn’t really lived up to expectations.

He was viewed to be on the roster bubble all summer and barely made the cut. Then, shortly after the season started, he caught COVID and was forced to miss several games.

Since he’s been back, he has been inactive a few times. However, due to the recent injuries, Ferguson finally got his shot to play.

He’s coming along as a run defender but is still very raw when rushing the passer. However, the biggest play he made was on special teams, not defense.

After Huntley’s interception, the Ravens forced the Bears into a three-and-out. Ferguson came crashing up the middle and partially blocked the punt.

This resulted in the Ravens’ offense starting at midfield which led to another field goal. Without that play, who knows how differently the game would’ve turned out.

Even though he hasn’t played many snaps, Ferguson still found a way to make an impact on this game. And it is not far-fetched to say that he was a key contributor to this victory.

Hopefully this is a sign of great things coming for him.
