The Baltimore Ravens have a whopping 25 players currently under contract who are in the final year of their deals. While the organization is known to love stability, that’s likely not something they will be able to accomplish this offseason.
We’ve already seen the Ravens be forced to make difficult decisions for cap reasons in recent years. Just look at this past offseason when fan-favorite outside linebacker Matt Judon was signed away by the New England Patriots.
A similar situation might take place this offseason with the Ravens once again pressed for cap space.
And with players such as Bradley Bozeman, Anthony Averett, DeShon Elliott, and Patrick Mekari — among others — set to hit the open market, the Ravens aren’t going to be able to keep everyone around.
Especially with Lamar Jackson’s inevitable extension looming in the near future.
On top of that, there are other players the team simply won’t want to keep around. Be it veterans who are no longer in their primes or anyone else who isn’t a part of the organization’s long-term plans.
The point is that the Ravens will likely see plenty of roster turnover this offseason. But which of those 25 free agents are most likely to depart?
We take a look at five pending free agents who likely won’t be back with the Ravens in 2022.
