5. The Los Angeles Chargers are a threat to the Ravens

This Los Angeles Chargers team has been inconsistent at times in 2021. But at 7-5, they sit right in the thick of things in a crowded AFC playoff picture and could still very well win the AFC West.

And perhaps more so than any other team on this list, they possess the potential to get red hot at any moment.

The Chargers started the year off 4-1 with wins over the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Rams. But since then, they’ve gone a middling 3-4.

Inconsistencies on both sides of the ball have held them back, but that roster is talented enough to compete with any team in the league. We’ve seen that at various points throughout the year.

Justin Herbert is still one of the better quarterbacks in the NFL. Their wide receiver corps is supremely talented. And the work they’ve done to fix their offensive line is nothing short of miraculous.

Of course, these two teams already met back in Week 6 when Baltimore scored a dominant 34-6 victory in what was likely the team’s most complete game of the season.

It’s hard to suggest that the outcome would be the same if the teams met again, however. The Ravens have struggled to put together complete performances with the offense holding the team back in recent weeks.

The Chargers are a dangerous team, and although they may not be at the top of the conference, they shouldn’t be overlooked.
