4. The Indianapolis Colts are a threat to the Ravens
Speaking of teams getting red hot, few teams are as hot right now as the Indianapolis Colts. Following a disastrous 1-4 start to the season, the Colts have rallied back winning six of their last eight games to surge to 7-6.
If the season were to end today, they would fall a half-game short of reaching the playoffs. But with the Tennesse Titans struggling the way they have, it wouldn’t be surprising in the slightest to see the Colts come away with the AFC South crown by the end of the year.
Over the last nine games, the Colts’ only losses have come in overtime to the Ravens, in overtime to the Titans, and in a seven-point loss to the defending Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
This Colts team is for real.
Led by star running back Jonathan Taylor and a stout offensive line, the Colts have proven that they’re as dangerous as any team in the conference right now.
A dominant 41-15 win over the Buffalo Bills a few weeks back was the wake-up call many in the NFL needed. Underestimate the Colts at your own risk.
Carson Wentz is playing some of the most efficient football of his career, the running game is borderline unstoppable, and the defense is coming off a 31-0 shutout victory over the Houston Texans.
A potential Ravens/Colts rematch in the postseason could be intriguing for both sides, but it’s not one the former should be looking forward to.
