Round 4, 114th Overall, Ravens: Micah McFadden, LB, Indiana
Patrick Queen has taken some important steps as his second NFL season has progressed. But the Ravens don’t exactly have any long-term option on the roster besides him at the moment.
Indiana’s Micah McFadden could be an ideal MIKE linebacker to target in the middle rounds of this year’s draft. McFadden is a three-year starter who has made a name for himself as an attacking downhill linebacker.
He’s one of the nation’s most effective blitzing linebackers which, when paired with Queen, could create quite the dynamic duo for defensive coordinator Wink Martindale to utilize.
Round 4, 131st Overall, Ravens: Jahleel Billingsley, TE, Alabama
The Ravens don’t need tight end help. But with a potential Day 2 prospect in Jahleel Billingsley falling all the way here to the end of the fourth round, the value was too much to pass up.
Plus, he’s from Alabama. And we all know the Ravens love drafting players from Ozzie Newsome’s alma mater.
Billingsley is more of an oversized wide receiver than a true tight end, but he can still serve as another complement to Mark Andrews and Nick Boyle and create mismatches for opposing defenses.
