8 NFL teams that could call the Ravens about a Tyler Huntley trade

2. The Ravens could trade Tyler Huntley to the New Orleans Saints
The New Orleans Saints are another team that will have an interesting decision to make at the quarterback position. Do they decide to bring back Jameis Winston? What about Taysom Hill? Could they make a splash in the draft or free agency?
All options are on the table. Unfortunately, their tight cap situation could keep them out of the running for someone like Russell Wilson. But that doesn’t mean a trade won’t still be in order.
If the Saints opt to go the trade route, someone like Tyler Huntley makes a ton of sense, especially given that he will be making the league minimum next year.
The Saints need young, inexpensive talent and Huntley fits the bill.
1. The Ravens could trade Tyler Huntley to the Carolina Panthers
Perhaps no team’s quarterback situation is more of a mess than the Carolina Panthers. After striking out on Matthew Stafford and Deshaun Watson in the offseason, the Panthers panicked and traded for New York Jets draft bust Sam Darnold.
Darnold played poorly before being sidelined by an injury. But whether it’s been Darnold, Cam Newton, or P.J. Walker under center, the result has been the same. The Panthers don’t have a quarterback.
I’d expect them to be very interested in some of the top names on the market this offseason, and that does include Watson. They could very well opt to go the draft route as well.
But what about Huntley? If the Panthers miss out on their top options again, Huntley could be a fine fall-back plan. Weirder things have happened.
