The Baltimore Ravens will have plenty of roster holes to fill this offseason. Despite boasting a roster with plenty of talent, you can never have too much depth.

That’s a lesson the Ravens learned the hard way this season. Even aside from depth, there are a number of positions the Ravens could look to improve upon, especially with a host of important players set to hit free agency.

The 2022 NFL Draft will present a golden opportunity for Baltimore to continue adding talent to their roster. For this mock, we made use of Pro Football Network’s mock simulator to run through one potential scenario for the Ravens’ draft plans.

It should be noted that the draft position is accurate as of Friday night so Week 16 games will not be factored in. Writers get to spend Christmas with their families too.

With that said, here are the results of our latest mock draft.

Round 1, 18th Overall, Ravens: Charles Cross, OT, Mississippi State

The Ravens need to address their offensive line in a big way this offseason, and rather than go the free-agency route again, it would probably be best to target the position group early in the NFL Draft.

We got a little lucky here as one of the best tackle prospects in this year’s class, Charles Cross, managed to fall to us at No. 18 overall. Cross has been projected inside the top-10 in some mocks which is why we quickly pounced with him still on the board here.

At 6-foot-5, 305 pounds, Cross is perhaps the most athletically gifted lineman in this class. He’s a bit of an odd fit for Baltimore having played almost exclusively left tackle. On top of that, he’s a much better pass protector than run blocker.

But Cross is a top-15 prospect at a major position of need. He could make the move to right tackle while offering valuable insurance at left tackle with Ronnie Stanley’s health still uncertain.
