Round 4, 137th Overall, Ravens: Josh Jobe, CB, Alabama

Two Alabama prospects in the same round? Yup, this is a Ravens mock draft. The Ravens could use help at cornerback with Anthony Averett set to hit free agency and Marcus Peters’ future uncertain.

Alabama’s Josh Jobe may be on the older side for a prospect as he’ll turn 24-years-old prior to Week 1, but he makes up for it with ideal size and top-notch traits.

At 6-foot-1, 192 pounds, Jobe comes with a pro-ready skill set and someone who can play a sizable role as a rookie if need be.

Round 4, 138th Overall, Ravens: Jeffrey Gunter, EDGE, Coastal Carolina

The Ravens love to draft and develop mid-to-late-round pass rushers, and perhaps Coastal Carolina’s Jeffrey Gunter could be the next great one they add.

At 6-foot-4, 260 pounds, Gunter has experience playing a stand-up outside linebacker role and possesses a powerful bull-rush move that helps him collapse pockets.

While he lacks top-tier speed and flexibility, Gunter could help fill that Pernell McPhee role in the defense with the veteran outside linebacker’s future up in the air.

Round 6, 191st Overall, Ravens: C.J. Verdell, RB, Oregon

The Ravens saw their entire running back room decimated by injuries prior to the start of the 2021 season. But even with J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards set to return in 2022, you can never have too much running back depth.

With that No. 3 running back job up for grabs, perhaps someone like Oregon’s C.J. Verdell can fill that role. At 5-foot-9, 205 pounds, Verdell is a compact back who runs tough and is a capable receiver in the passing game.

He’s been compared to Devonta Freeman in the past because of their similar build and play style, and he could help fill Freeman’s role in the offense in 2022.
