Round 4, 107th Overall, Ravens: Justyn Ross, WR, Clemson

Wide receiver isn’t exactly a pressing need for the Ravens, but we weren’t going to pass on a high-ceiling prospect like Clemson’s Justyn Ross here in the fourth round.

It wasn’t long ago that Ross was considered one of the best wide receivers in the country and a future first-round pick. That was until a scary neck/spine injury nearly cut his football career short.

Ross returned after a near two-year absence in 2021 and re-established himself as a legitimate NFL prospect. At 6-foot-3, 205 pounds, you’d be hard-pressed to find a more physical wide receiver in this class.

Ross could be the contested-catch red-zone threat the Ravens thought they were landing when they drafted Miles Boykin a few years back. Durability is a concern, but if he stays healthy, Ross could be a draft-day steal at this spot.

Round 4, 116th Overall, Ravens: Jalen Pitre, S, Baylor

The future of safety DeShon Elliott is very much in doubt, especially after another season-ending injury in 2021. If the Ravens decide to move on, they could search for his replacement in the draft.

Baylor’s Jalen Pitre is another versatile chess piece that defensive coordinator Wink Martindale can move around in his defense. At 6-foot, 197 pounds, Pitre lacks ideal size for the position but he’s a good athlete with the versatility to play either safety spot or even slot corner.

He’s a true modern-day hybrid defensive back, similar to that of Brandon Stephens or Ar’Darius Washington. The Ravens can look to add another versatile piece to their secondary in Pitre on Day 3.
