The Baltimore Ravens may have missed out on the postseason, but a number of players on the roster were recently honored for their standout performances in 2021.

On Friday, the Associated Press revealed their All-Pro teams for the 2021 season as voted on by “a national panel of 50 media members.” Three Ravens players were among those named to the first team.

Tight end Mark Andrews, kicker Justin Tucker, and punt returner Devin Duverany were each named first-team All-Pros after leading their respective positions in votes.

Andrews received 41 of 50 votes at tight end, Tucker received 40 of 50 votes, and Duvernay got 28 votes with Jakeem Grant and Braxton Berrios splitting the other 22.

For Tucker, this is his fifth time being named first-team All-Pro and the more surprising part about his recognition was that he wasn’t a unanimous selection. Andrews and Duvernay both received the honor for the first time.

These three Ravens players deserved to be named All-Pro

It’s hard to say that any of these three players didn’t deserve it. Andrews put together a career-year finishing with 107 catches for 1,361 yards and nine touchdowns — all of which were the highest figures by a tight end this season.

After playing second fiddle to the likes of Travis Kelce, George Kittle, and even Darren Waller in recent years, Andrews finally received his rightful recognition as one of the game’s elite tight ends.

Tucker continued his reign of dominance as not only the best kicker in the NFL today, but likely of all-time. The now five-time All-Pro connected on 35-of-37 field goals including his historic, game-winning 66-yard field goal against the Detroit Lions.

There is perhaps no more dominant player at any given position in the NFL today than Tucker. His recognition was hardly a surprise.

As for Duvernay, he shined this year as the Ravens’ regular return man leading the NFL with 13.8 yards per punt return. The 2020 third-round pick has carved out a nice niche with the team and will look to continue excelling on special teams next season.
