1. The Ravens could draft Jaquan Brisker to replace DeShon Elliott

Perhaps the best, most reasonable route the Ravens could take to replace DeShon Elliott would be to address the safety position early in the draft.

Now, this isn’t to say that this is the best option for the team. The Ravens have other needs such as the offensive and defensive lines to address — it might not be best for them to use a top draft pick on a safety.

But if they wanted to make a splash, one player they could target is Penn State’s Jaquan Brisker. Aside from Notre Dame’s Kyle Hamilton who will, in all likelihood, be out of Baltimore’s reach, Brisker is making a case to be the best safety in this class.

At 6-foot-1, 200 pounds, Brisker has good size for the position and has a well-rounded skill set that would make him the top safety in most draft classes.

He’s one of the best athletes at his position with the range and tackling skills to become an all-around Pro Bowl safety at the next level. And much like Daxton Hill, his versatility really shines through.

There isn’t a role that Brisker hasn’t been asked to fill or can’t fill in the future. The Draft Network’s Kyle Crabbs identified Brisker’s ideal role as a “starting free safety in a defense with interchangeable safety roles.”

If that doesn’t perfectly describe what the Ravens are looking for I’m not sure what does. It might take a late mid/first-round pick to get him meaning that the Ravens could do some draft-day movement if they want to make the pick.

But from a skill set perspective, Brisker is probably the best option for the Ravens this offseason.
