The Baltimore Ravens have been connected to free-agent wide receiver Antonio Brown in recent weeks following an interview and a series of social media posts that suggested Brown had serious interest in joining the team.

Ravens players, including Lamar Jackson and Marlon Humphrey, posted cryptic tweets implying that there was mutual interest on their side as well. However, despite these rumors and connections, don’t count on Brown making his way to Baltimore.

It’s important to note that owner Steve Bisciotti refused to sign off on acquiring Brown back in 2020, per The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec. And as Zrebiec recently pointed out, there’s nothing that Brown has done over the last two years that would indicate Bisciotti’s mindset has changed.

If anything, Brown’s antics, which included his controversial departure from Tampa Bay, would further the notion that the Ravens want no part of the former All-Pro wide receiver.

As Zrebiec insists, he “cannot fathom” that Bisciotti would have softened his stance on Brown. Essentially, don’t expect the Ravens to come calling for AB anytime soon.

The Ravens likely want no part of Antonio Brown

The Ravens have long been a franchise that prides themselves on stability and maturity. They’re a well-run organization that has tended to steer clear of players with chequered pasts.

The idea that they would even consider signing Brown, a player with a laundry list of off-field concerns, is, to put it bluntly, ridiculous.

This is far from the first time the Ravens have been linked to the former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver. Jackson’s workouts with Brown in the past have sparked rumors that Baltimore could look to bring the latter in, at least for a look.

But those rumors have been just that — rumors. There has been no indication that the Ravens would ever entertain such an idea, and given what we know about Bisciotti and the rest of the organization, it seems highly unlikely.
