2. Rashod Bateman, WR, Ravens
Rashod Bateman’s rookie season was fine, but it’s hard not to be left feeling a little disappointed. Injuries limited the first-round rookie to just 12 games and he wasn’t always utilized to his maximum potential.
This isn’t to say that Bateman didn’t show signs of future stardom, however. The 22-year-old finished with 46 catches for 515 yards and a touchdown finishing as the team’s third-leading receiver behind Mark Andrews and Marquise Brown.
We very likely haven’t seen the best of Bateman yet, and with a full offseason to prepare and develop chemistry with Lamar Jackson, it’s easy to see him breaking out in 2022.
This is more of a projection pick, but I believe in Bateman’s talent.
1. Marquise Brown, WR, Ravens
This was the obvious pick. Marquise Brown may not be the true No. 1 receiver the Ravens hoped he would develop into, but he’s done enough to earn the No. 1 spot on this list.
Brown was on a legitimate Pro Bowl pace early in the year hauling in six touchdowns in his first seven games before seeing his production drop significantly.
Lamar Jackson’s injury definitely played a role, but Brown’s inconsistencies continue to hinder his overall impact. Still, he’s a good player, and at just 24-years-old, has earned his spot on top of this list.
The future is bright for the Ravens, and these seven players are part of the reason why.
