4. The Ravens could target Ben Jones in free agency

These two signings only make sense if the Ravens are unable to re-sign Bradley Bozeman. While most have turned their attention to the 2022 NFL Draft in search of potential Bozeman replacements, perhaps the Ravens could find that player in free agency instead.

Ben Jones might be the best center available in free agency this offseason. The 32-year-old has nearly a decade of starting experience having started 15 or more games in every season since 2014.

A longtime staple of the Tennessee Titans offensive line, Jones has ranked as one of the better centers in football for the last half-decade or so. Needless to say, he won’t come cheap.

Jones would actually present an upgrade over Bozeman making it unlikely the Ravens have the finances to make a deal work. But if they can manage to save a little money, perhaps they can splurge on a true difference-maker at the position.

3. The Ravens could target Ethan Pocic in free agency

Ethan Pocic is more of a reasonable, low-cost replacement for Bozeman. The former second-round pick has been the Seahawks’ starting center in each of the last two seasons.

His 2020 season was a bit of a struggle, but he rebounded and put together the best season of his career in 2021 finishing as PFF’s 15th-highest-graded center.

At 6-foot-6, 320 pounds, Pocic isn’t the greater mover in space, but he’s a plus-run-blocker who fits like a glove in a power-run scheme that allows him to play in a condensed formation.

That’s exactly how he could shine with the Ravens, and even at just 26-years-old, he probably shouldn’t come at a premium. Pocic is a very realistic free-agent replacement for Bozeman.
