The Baltimore Ravens are looking to rebuild their offensive line again this offseason, and they’re likely to turn to the 2022 NFL Draft in search of reinforcements. One player who could be on their radar is Chattanooga guard Cole Strange.

Strange is one of the top small-school prospects available in this year’s draft class with the FCS product garnering plenty of attention from NFL teams. He was one of a number of players to participate in this year’s Senior Bowl in Mobile.

In Mobile, Strange reportedly met with all 32 teams, the Ravens included. However, as reported by Justin Melo of The Draft Network, both the Ravens and Seattle Seahawks “spent a lot of time with him.”

It appears the Ravens are doing their due diligence on the former Chattanooga standout ahead of this year’s draft. And a closer look at him as a prospect should explain why.

Cole Strange would be a perfect draft target for the Ravens

It’s no secret the Ravens are going to be in the market for offensive line help this offseason. And with so much draft capital early on Day 3 of the draft, Strange is a player who absolutely makes sense as a potential target.

An experienced prospect, Strange started over 40 games during his time at Chattanooga with the majority coming at left guard. He’s been described as an aggressive blocker with a “nasty demeanor.”

Strange is probably a better run blocker than pass blocker at this stage of his career with a stout anchor and a powerful punch. That would fit right in with the Ravens’ run-heavy offense.

The Ravens will be looking for offensive line help this offseason and the draft could be a perfect place to target a player like Strange.

The 23-year-old could step in and immediately compete for reps at left guard or even shift over to center where he received some reps at the Senior Bowl. That versatility could be extra important with Bradley Bozeman possibly departing in free agency.

Cole Strange just has the look and feel of a future Ravens player. Don’t be surprised if they make him a target on Day 2 or 3 of the 2022 NFL Draft.
