The Baltimore Ravens were given the opportunity to watch some of the 2022 NFL Draft’s top prospects participate in this year’s NFL Combine this past week.

While the athletic drills don’t mean quite as much as they used to and the event has undoubtedly lost some of its luster, there’s no doubt that teams still pay close attention to Combine results.

They may not make or break a prospect,  but oftentimes a strong performance could prompt scouts to take a second look at a player they may have otherwise overlooked. The adverse can be true for poor performances.

Let’s take a look at seven potential Ravens draft targets who could see their stock rise following strong showings at the 2022 NFL Combine.

7. Ravens draft target: Chigoziem Okonkwo, TE, Maryland

If the Ravens are looking to make a local splash in this year’s NFL Draft, they could turn their attention to Maryland tight end Chigoziem Okonkwo.

Okonkwo started to make a name for himself with an impressive showing at the East-West Shrine Bowl, but it wasn’t until this week at the Combine that the athletic tight end really began to shine.

At 6-foot-2, 244 pounds, Okonkwo clocked a blazing 4.52 40-yard dash time which was the fastest among all tight ends. Okonkwo’s best selling point is his explosive athleticism meaning that he really needed to show out at the Combine.

That he did, and while his lack of length might limit him in the NFL, some teams will certainly take a closer look at him now. Perhaps the Ravens could use a Day 3 pick on him to add further tight end depth or even replace Patrick Ricard if he departs in free agency.
