4. Ravens target: Bobby Wagner, LB

This would be a dream signing for the Ravens, so much so that it’s probably a lot more of a fantasy than it is a reality. Still, if the Ravens can find a way to land Bobby Wagner in Baltimore, the entire complexion of their defense changes.

Wagner is arguably the best linebacker of his generation. A six-time All-Pro and eight-time Pro Bowler, Wagner may not be quite the player he was in his prime, but he’s still one of the better linebackers in the NFL.

Pairing Wagner with young linebacker Patrick Queen would do wonders for the latter’s development and provide the team with a veteran leader in the center of their defense.

He has his fair share of suitors and will likely get more elsewhere, but if the Ravens somehow make this happen, fans will be throwing a party at Owings Mills.

3. Ravens target: Eddie Goldman, NT

The Ravens are already showing interest in now-former Chicago Bears nose tackle Eddie Goldman. And given the obvious need at the position, it makes plenty of sense.

A second-round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, Goldman developed into one of the best nose tackles in football during his time in Chicago, although he has lost a step in recent years.

Goldman opted-out of the 2020 season, and returned in 2021 only to put together maybe the least effective year of his career. It wasn’t much of a surprise when the Bears released him in a cap-saving move.

Still, he’s only 28-years-old and fits the mold of exactly what the Ravens are looking for in their nose tackles. He’s an experienced veteran who provides upside as a run stopper. Their interest isn’t a surprise.
