2. Ravens target: Hayden Hurst, TE

The Ravens could also look to reunite with a pair of former players this offseason, both of whom have been connected to the team in rumors. The first of which is tight end Hayden Hurst.

While Hurst is hardly a “high-profile” name (we are cheating a little here), he’s still a productive player who can provide further tight end depth for a team that really needs it.

Hurst spent a pair of years in Atlanta with his most productive season coming in 2020 before he was overshadowed by Kyle Pitts. His experience with the Ravens makes this one very possible, even given how his tenure in Baltimore ended.

The Ravens could do a lot worse than Hayden Hurst and Nick Boyle as their backup tight ends. The “three-headed monster” could return in the near future.

1. Ravens target: Za’Darius Smith, OLB

The Ravens have also shown interest in bringing back outside linebacker Za’Darius Smith this offseason. Following his release from the Green Bay Packers, the Ravens are reportedly one of the teams pursuing the two-time Pro Bowler.

Smith took his game to new heights in Green Bay making back-to-back Pro Bowls while registering a whopping 26 sacks in two seasons. Given the obvious need at pass rusher, a Ravens/Smith reunion makes plenty of sense.

Justin Houston is a free agent, Pernell McPhee is unlikely to return, and Tyus Bowser is recovering from a torn Achilles. The Ravens need to add another pass rusher and Smith seems like a perfect fit.

This one feels pretty likely, especially if he’s willing to take a little less to reunite with many of his former coaches and teammates.
