1. Ravens target: Bobby Wagner, LB

This is the player Ravens fans are refreshing their Twitter feeds and checking headlines for. Bobby Wagner should be a top priority for the organization right now.

The Ravens went into this offseason with a number of needs, but perhaps the most underrated need was at the linebacker position. Patrick Queen showed signs of improvement in 2021, but the state of the position around him remains a complete question mark.

Josh Bynes and L.J. Fort are free agents while Chris Board had departed to join the Detroit Lions. The Ravens need to bolster the position some way, and there’s no better way to do so than by adding one of the best linebackers of the last 20+ years.

Wagner was released by the Seattle Seahawks shortly following the Russell Wilson trade with the organization looking to start anew. Even at 31-years-old, Wagner is still playing at a very, very high level.

He’s fresh off his eighth consecutive Pro Bowl appearance and has been named first-team All-Pro in six of the last eight seasons. As arguably the best linebacker of his generation, there’s no telling the impact Wagner could have on the Ravens’ defense.

The Ravens have shown their interest too with the team bringing him in for an official visit just a few days ago. They’re far from the only team that’s interested, but they do appear to be one of the frontrunners.

Bobby Wagner has the potential to transform the Ravens’ defense. He should be the team’s top priority in free agency.
