3. Cole Beasley
If Sanders’ age is too much of a hindrance, might we suggest his slightly younger former teammate, Cole Beasley.
Clearly, the Bills have too many mouths to feed with star quarterback Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs getting their due. Yet Beasley remains one of the best free agent options money can buy and could fit well in the Ravens’ passing offense.
In 2021, Beasley averaged a league-best 3.9 yards of target separation…but unfortunately that was one of the only statistical categories he shined in. The 32-year-old caught 82 passes for 693 yards and one touchdown, which is respectable when compared to say, Watkins’ 2021 production, but still represents an alarming decline.
In 2020, Beasley had the same number of catches but went for 967 yards and four touchdowns. Don’t get too upset yet, since Beasley’s poor performance could be attributed to the fact that he played through three broken ribs during the second half of the 2021 season.
If that’s not dedication, we don’t know what is.
As an added bonus, we like the way his name sounds alongside the other Ravens’ receivers: Beasley, Brown, and Bateman. That has a nice ring to it.
