Takeaway No. 3 from Ravens OTAs: Kyle Hamilton is really, really good

Everyone knew No. 14 overall pick Kyle Hamilton was good, but early OTAs have revealed just how good he could be.

The first-round safety flew everywhere on the field and impressed all those in attendance. Hamilton showed off his quick instincts, his closing speed, his route-reading ability, and overall physical and mental strength on a handful of plays.

In one play, Hamilton jumped a slant route by wide receiver Slade Bolden and would have laid him on the ground if it were a full-contact practice.

Per the media, Hamilton also performed well on one-on-ones against the rookie tight ends, recording two straight breakups on Charlie Kolar and Isaiah Likely.

Hamilton also nearly sacked quarterback Tyler Huntley on a blitz — the rookie is clearly a fast learner and should adapt to Mike Macdonald’s scheme even quicker than expected.
