1. Jaylon Ferguson, OLB, Ravens

Jaylon Ferguson has really been on thin ice with the Ravens for the better part of the last 2-3 seasons. The former third-round pick has fallen well short of expectations in the NFL since entering the league a few years back.

Yet, every offseason, we seem to find ourselves fawning over the physical shape that Ferguson’s in while convincing ourselves that this could be the year he finally does something. It’s a tradition at this point.

Nonetheless, Ferguson will be trying to secure a roster spot this summer in a new-look Ravens outside linebacker corps that could still use some work.

The Ravens went out and drafted Michigan’s David Ojabo in the second round, although there’s a good chance he’s not ready for Week 1. Meanwhile, both Tyus Bowser and Odafe Oweh are recovering from offseason surgeries.

There’s a lot of uncertainty surrounding the Ravens’ outside linebacker room at the moment, and that could work in Ferguson’s favor. Still, he’ll need to impress this summer to convince the Ravens that he deserves a spot.

The 26-year-old has just 4.5 sacks through three seasons and played only 20 percent of defensive snaps a year ago. At this stage, he’s little more than a back-of-the-roster special-teamer.

Jaylon Ferguson is still clinging onto a roster spot, but he’ll need to make some noise this summer for it to stay that way.
