Baltimore Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta has never been one to shy away from making high-profile trades. From Marcus Peters to Calais Campbell, the Ravens have taken advantage of opportunities to acquire top-tier talent in the past.

Another golden opportunity might present itself in the form of the Matt Rhule-less Carolina Panthers.

With Rhule out, the Panthers are expected to be open for business as it pertains to many of the players on their roster. Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer reported on Monday that the Panthers might look to stockpile draft picks for the future.

The Ravens could be one of the teams that come calling, but who might they target? Let’s take a look at five Panthers stars the Ravens could feasibly trade for.

5. Ravens trade target: Derrick Brown, DT

The Ravens have undergone somewhat of a youth movement on their defensive line over the last year or so, but they could still be in the market for additional young talent. One such player that could pique their interest is Derrick Brown.

The seventh overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, Brown has developed into one of the better defensive tackles in the NFL. At just 24 years old, he’s someone the Ravens could look to build around for the future.

Brown’s 84.2 Pro Football Focus grade ranks seventh among qualified interior defensive linemen and he’s been one of the best run defenders in football. That said, the Panthers aren’t just going to give him away.

It might take some serious draft capital to make this happen, but the Ravens should absolutely inquire about a potential trade for Brown.
