The Baltimore Ravens have been no strangers to trade deadline deals in recent years, and one player who could be on their radar this season is wide receiver Jerry Jeudy.

Jeudy has found himself at the center of trade rumors this deadline season with the Denver Broncos struggling, and the Ravens are one of a few teams he’s been connected to.

Now, there’s been no concrete evidence that the Ravens are interesting in pursuing Jeudy to this point, but it certainly makes all the sense in the world that they would be.

That was the sentiment shared by The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec (subscription required) who insisted that “Jeudy might make the most sense for the Ravens” if they’re looking to acquire a wide receiver.

"“The Broncos already have quite a bit invested in their receiver room, and it has not produced good results. Jeudy and Lamar Jackson are also good friends, so perhaps he’d welcome a move to Baltimore to play in an offense that’s not regarded as wide receiver-friendly. The cost for Jeudy may not be much more than a Day 2 pick at this point.”"

The Ravens should explore a trade for Jerry Jeudy

A former top-15 pick, Jeudy has fallen down the pecking order in Denver after putting together a promising rookie season in 2020. He’s hauled in just 24 catches for 386 yards and two touchdowns this season as part of a putrid Broncos offense.

But a just 23 years old and with his pedigree, there should be no shortage of interested teams. One of those teams should be the Ravens.

Jeudy would immediately provide a sizable upgrade over the likes of Devin Duvernay, Demarcus Robinson, and James Proche and give the Ravens another wide receiver to build around for the future.

Much like Rashod Bateman, Jeudy is a polished route runner who would also provide an explosive element that this Ravens offense could desperately use.

They could target a more expensive veteran like Brandin Cooks. They could look at mid-tier options like Nelson Agholor or Kendrick Bourne. They could even take a flyer on someone like Denzel Mims.

But if you’re looking for the best bang for your buck, Jerry Jeudy makes the most sense for the Ravens. This would be a fun trade deadline splash.
