The Baltimore Ravens may have made a splash at the trade deadline in the form of star linebacker Roquan Smith, but the team opted not to make an addition at the wide receiver position.
Much to the chagrin of many fans who wanted to see their team add a wide receiver, the Ravens weren’t able to get another deal done before the trade deadline.
But that doesn’t mean all hope is lost. While the Ravens missed out on the opportunity to add a wide receiver via a trade, there are still a few intriguing names available in free agency.
Finding an impact addition in free agency in November is tricky, but options are limited at this point. Let’s take a look at three free-agent wide receivers who might make sense for the Ravens.
3. The Ravens could sign T.Y. Hilton
Of the three on this list, T.Y. Hilton is the least likely target, but he’s still worth including. The four-time Pro Bowler was contemplating retirement this past offseason and it’s unclear if he’ll ever play another NFL game.
At the time of writing, there’s been no official announcement regarding his retirement, so if Hilton is still looking to make one final run, perhaps it could come in Baltimore.
The last time we saw Hilton was last season in Indianapolis where he was a shell of his former self. The 32-year-old played in just 10 games due to injury and finished with a career-low 331 yards on just 23 catches.
How much does Hilton have left in the tank? Who knows. But he might be worth a flyer if he’s willing to consider playing this year.
