The Baltimore Ravens will take on the New Orleans Saints in a riveting primetime matchup in Week 9. Which players should you keep your eye on this game?

Baltimore already bested another NFC South team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the week prior, and compared to the Bucs, the Saints seem like a much tamer offensive threat on paper.

The Saints are nonetheless coming off a huge 24-0 win against the Las Vegas Raiders and could overpower a heavily injured Ravens side.

No Rashod Bateman. No Mark Andrews. No Gus Edwards. Without many of the team’s big guns, Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson will need to muster a show-stopping performance on Monday to keep the Ravens at the top of the AFC North.

Here’s a look at three of the best bets you can make for Week 9. All odds are courtesy of FanDuel.

Best Ravens Bets Week 5

Lamar Jackson OVER 62.5 rushing yards (-110)

Put simply, Jackson must dominate the game on the ground to give Baltimore the best chance of winning this matchup. With Gus Edwards likely sidelined, Kenyan Drake and Justice Hill don’t pack a very powerful 1-2 punch, and it may be up to Lamar Jackson to rack up rushing yards throughout the game.

Hill does have some workhorse potential, and Drake had that big game back in Week 6, but the two of them remain inconsistent ball-carrying options in 2022. Jackson, on the other hand, is a verifiable on-the-ground threat and should easily gash the Saints’ run defense for over 62.5 yards in Week 9 (Jackson has rushed for 62.5 or more yards in half of his games so far this season). We’d throw in a rushing touchdown in there, too.

Isaiah Likely anytime touchdown scorer (+145)

With Mark Andrews sitting this one out, it’s Isaiah Likely season. The 2022 fourth-rounder blossomed in Week 8 with six catches for 77 yards and one touchdown, and it seems like a safe bet to say he’ll make big plays in the red zone yet again in Week 9.

Baltimore is running dreadfully thin on pass-catchers at the moment, and out of the team’s current healthy receiving corps, Likely arguably stands out as the player with the most upside and the player capable of generating scintillating chemistry with Jackson.

Fantasy managers snatched Likely up for a reason, so don’t be surprised if you see him getting on the scoreboard on Monday.

Ravens to score first and win (+146)

So far this season, the Ravens have been good at getting leads early in the game — their biggest issue, as we all know, has been keeping them. While Baltimore lost games in the fourth quarter to offensive powerhouses like the Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills, we feel confident about the Ravens’ ability to close out a game against the Saints.

New Orleans has a handful of weapons in Chris Olave and Alvin Kamara, yet Andy Dalton has not been the answer at quarterback. Dalton hasn’t proven he can lead his team to comeback wins, and if the Saints start losing by double digits, they probably won’t be able to dig themselves out of the hole. Baltimore should score early, and then it’s (hopefully) smooth sailing from there.

Next. The Ravens are paying for their offseason inaction at the WR position. dark

Lamar Jackson, Isaiah Likely, and a stout Ravens’ defense have the potential to shine in Week 9. Out of them all, betting on Jackson appears to be the best payoff in 2022.
