Baltimore Ravens outside linebacker David Ojabo is set to make his NFL debut in Week 15’s game against the Cleveland Browns.

Nearly nine months after Ojabo tore his Achilles during Pro Day, Ojabo is listed as active on the Ravens’ roster in Week 15 and could see his first snaps as a Raven.

The Michigan product was plucked from the second round by Baltimore in the 2022 NFL Draft, falling that far only because of the injury he sustained on Pro Day.

Head coach John Harbaugh provided positive updates on Ojabo’s development since the offseason, and it appears Ojabo is fully recovered and prepared to make an impact in Baltimore’s defense.

Ravens welcome a new face in the pass-rush with rookie David Ojabo

It’s not clear how the Ravens will utilize Ojabo, but given how cautiously the team rolled out formerly injured players like J.K. Dobbins, he may not see too many snaps on the field to begin with.

The Ravens will likely stick with their starting duo of Justin Houston and Tyus Bowser, and veteran Jason Pierre-Paul also has shared rotational duties and served as a reliable defender on the edge.

One slight disappointment of the season is 2021 first-rounder Odafe Oweh, who has struggled to carve out a consistent role in the pass-rushing unit through 15 weeks of the season.

At the very least, Ojabo could absorb some of Oweh’s snaps as the Ravens face off against a very sackable quarterback in Deshaun Watson. Ojabo should be able to contribute on situational snaps to pressure Watson as well as help defend against the run, which poses as arguably Cleveland’s most dangerous point of attack.

Nick Chubb stands out as one of the league’s most threatening running backs, and the Ravens will need all the talent they can get to stop him.
