4. Kenyan Drake, RB, Baltimore Ravens

Barring another J.K. Dobbins or Gus Edwards injury, Kenyan Drake likely played his last game in purple and black.

Make no mistake, Drake was a necessary pick-up at the start of the season given the Ravens’ hobbling running back room.

The former Raiders running back signed with Baltimore last offseason as a crucial starting-caliber piece, giving Dobbins and Edwards ample time to recover from their respective injuries.

He recorded a few extremely productive games early in the year, but it was clear that Drake’s ceiling was limited. Once Dobbins and Edwards were healthy again, Drake’s role was minimized to just single digit carries each game; while Drake provides an excellent No. 3 backup option in the running back room and serves as arguably the team’s best pass-catching back, he could find better opportunities elsewhere in 2023.

Drake finished with 109 carries for 482 yards and four touchdowns along with 17 receptions for 89 yards and a receiving touchdown.

He delivered when Baltimore needed him the most this year, yet with Dobbins and Edwards at full health and assuming special teams stud Justice Hill is guaranteed a roster spot, Drake has become the most expendable back of the unit.
