The Baltimore Ravens have reloaded their roster this offseason. On paper, they look like a far better team than what we saw in 2025. It’s been pretty impressive.

With all the improvements that Baltimore has added, there are going to be some players who are in danger of slipping down the depth chart. They’re going to face challenges in offseason activities, as they fight for snaps ahead of 2026.

These three players deserve another chance to prove themselves. They have way too much potential to slip down the depth chart.

3 Ravens who deserve another opportunity to prove themselves in 2026

Devontez Walker

Devontez Walker is immediately being threatened by incoming rookie wideouts, Ja’Kobi Lane and Elijah Sarratt. He’s already struggled to see the field consistently in his first two NFL seasons, and now, with talented pieces coming through the door, Walker could be in an even bigger fight for snaps.

Fans love Walker, though, and it’s easy to see why. Sure, he has just seven receptions through two years, but he's a big play waiting to happen. That’s exactly why the Ravens need to keep him in the rotation. In those seven catches, the 24-year-old has gone for 157 yards and four touchdowns, as well as six first downs.

Walker should remain in the driver’s seat for the WR3 job, but that role is anything but secure. However, if the coaching staff gives him the opportunity to continue taking steps forward, he should take full advantage of it. There could even be a world where he becomes the lead deep threat over Rashod Bateman, who disappointed in 2025. The point is, you have to let Walker cook.

T.J. Tampa

T.J. Tampa has kind of been in the same boat as Walker. He was seen as a steal in the 2024 NFL Draft, but hasn’t been able to crack the starting unit yet. And he still won’t in 2026.

Tampa remains behind the starting trio of Nate Wiggins, Marlon Humphrey, and Chidobe Awuzie. In the 2026 NFL Draft, the Ravens added another talented corner in Chandler Rivers. Rivers has gotten a ton of hype, and could quickly pass Tampa on the depth chart if he impresses early.

Baltimore needs to let Tampa get in on the action in 2026, though. Head coach Jesse Minter will call the defense, and he runs a lot of zone coverage. That’s an area that Tampa can excel in, and it feels like it will present a golden chance for him to break out. The coaches just need to find a way to consistently utilize him in a crowded corner room.

Aeneas Peebles

Aeneas Peebles came into the league as a sixth-round pick last year, but it seemed like he couldn’t get out of John Harbaugh’s doghouse. He flashed in the preseason and in limited snaps, but couldn’t get more than a handful of reps in the regular season (likely due to his struggles against the run). That will hopefully change under the defensive-minded Minter.

Now, Peebles is in a tough battle for depth chart positioning. The Ravens drafted Rayshaun Benny in the seventh round of the 2026 NFL Draft, and Benny already has a good relationship with Minter from their time at Michigan. Peebles’ potential as an interior pass rusher is just too good to ignore, though. He deserves a shot to prove himself.

Peebles possesses an impressive first-step quickness, paired with good contact balance, to make life very difficult for opposing offensive linemen. You throw in relentless effort, and you have a player who can be incredibly effective on passing downs. He may be undersized at 6-foot, 289 pounds, but when you have that quickness, it’s going to be a problem. Hopefully, Minter can utilize him properly, unlike Harbaugh and former defensive coordinator Zach Orr.
