The Baltimore Ravens continued to make moves ahead of Tuesday’s trade deadline, acquiring edge rusher Dre’Mont Jones from the Tennessee Titans. Baltimore sent off a conditional fifth-round selection that could become a fourth-rounder.

Baltimore was desperate for pass-rush help. Despite a surge on the defensive side of the football in their last three games, the Ravens still rank 31st in the NFL in sacks with just 11. The Jones acquisition immediately checks off the team’s biggest need ahead of the trade deadline.
Jones has found a good deal of success with the Titans in 2025. He signed a one-year $10 million deal with them this past offseason and has been one of their best pass rushers. He is tied with defensive lineman Jeffrey Simmons for the team lead in sacks with 4.5.
Jones’ 4.5 sacks would immediately rank first on the Ravens’ defense. It was clear they needed some extra juice off the edge, and the 28-year-old should provide just that.
Dre’Mont Jones poised to be a game-changer with Ravens
Jones has been on a tear in recent weeks. All of his 4.5 sacks have come in the last four games. While he struggled to start the year, he is catching fire, and he will arrive in Charm City at the perfect time. He is firing on all cylinders and should mesh perfectly on Baltimore’s defensive front.
Jones possesses the exact trait that the Ravens’ coaching staff will fall in love with, and that is versatility. He can play outside linebacker, defensive end, and defensive tackle. While he has found a ton of success off the edge in recent years, he can still help feast in the trenches.
Through nine games in 2025, Jones has registered a 62.6 overall grade, per Pro Football Focus. Although he only ranks 67th among edge defenders, he is a contributor in every way imaginable. He has above-average grades in both the pass and run, posting a 64.0 pass rush grade and 62.2 run defense grade.
After losing outside linebacker Tavius Robinson to a broken foot in Baltimore’s Week 6 loss to the Los Angeles Rams, they not only needed depth at the position, but someone who could affect the run game just as much as the pass game. Jones can supply that exact type of play.
Jones only comes to the Ravens as a rental, but if he can help unlock the duo of Kyle Van Noy and Mike Green while doing his own thing, it should pay off in a big way.
