This offseason, the Baltimore Ravens are transforming their pass rush unit. After putting up an unbelievably poor performance last year, the front office has understood the assignment. It’s time to make that one of the most dangerous components of their team in 2026.
They accomplished that in a splash move by signing Trey Hendrickson, but it’s clear they have bigger plans in mind. It’s known that Baltimore planned to pair Hendrickson with Maxx Crosby, and while that trade fell through, there’s still time to add to the pass rush room. That could come in the NFL Draft, where they may add a rookie to pair with another young edge in Mike Green.
In Field Yates’ latest mock draft, he has the Ravens doing just that. In the second round of his two-round mock, he has them picking Clemson’s T.J. Parker, assembling an exciting trio off the edge. Yates wrote:
“General manager Eric DeCosta said the team was eyeing a duo of Trey Hendrickson and Maxx Crosby, a testament to the need for more edge depth. Parker came into this past season with big expectations as a potential top-10 selection. He's not at that level, but he's a heavy-handed rusher with disruptive power.”
Baltimore Ravens select T.J. Parker in latest ESPN mock draft
General manager Eric DeCosta has said that the Ravens are likely done breaking the bank. While there remains a need for more pass rush help, they really only have Hendrickson, Green, and Tavius Robinson as ready contributors; there’s not a strong possibility that extra talent will come in free agency. They could get that in the form of Parker, though. He feels like a classic Baltimore selection.
As Yates wrote, Parker was once seen as a possible top-10 pick. He tallied 11 sacks in his sophomore year and seemed poised for a major breakout in 2025. Like most of that Clemson squad, he ultimately fell short of expectations. He only had five sacks this past season and has tumbled down draft boards. However, his potential is still through the roof, and if he falls to pick 45, that’d be a typical steal for DeCosta and company.
While Green brings an outstanding blend of speed and technique to the table, Parker possesses impressive play strength that would complement him perfectly. The Clemson product can set a strong edge against the run and pairs that with effective technique to fight off blockers as a pass rusher. He also has the size and arm length to win at the NFL level.
Parker would be an ideal piece to add and round out the pass rush rotation. While Hendrickson is one of the best sack-getters in the league and Green brings a ton of energy, Parker would add the power and ability to be relied upon in both pass rush and run defense situations. Throw in Tavius Robinson, and the Ravens would all of a sudden have a stout pass rush after producing one of the worst in the NFL last year.
