The Baltimore Ravens are a team with few needs. They have one of the most complete rosters in the league, but if we were to point out one of their biggest glaring weaknesses, it'd likely reside in the pass-rushing department... but not for the reason you might think.

Don't get it twisted, the unit as a whole is elite. This team gets after quarterbacks like few others do. However, even though the team is great, there is no individual game-wrecker who can flip a switch and take over a game. Think Myles Garrett. Think Terrell Suggs. The by-committee approach is great for the regular season, but in the playoffs, Baltimore needs a guy who consistently disrupts opposing quarterbacks.

They spent their second-round pick on Marshall's Mike Green to hopefully solve this exact issue. The 21-year-old rookie is coming off an FBS-leading 17 sacks and has a lot of tools that could make him an instant impact player. But there might just be another guy already on the roster who might be a better fit to fill this need. He just so happens to look very different heading into 2025.

Ravens OLB Odafe Oweh looks ripped out of his mind at OTAs

It’s not every day a player adds 20 pounds of muscle in four months, but when you’re Odafe Oweh, apparently it is. The Ravens’ 2021 first-round pick has packed on size this offseason—and then some. And that’s a great sign he’s gearing up for another jump after last year’s breakout.

Oweh met his critics head-on in 2024 and delivered his first double-digit sack season, finally showing what he’s capable of when everything clicks. The athleticism was always there. But his 245-pound frame didn’t always hold up when it came to finishing plays or fighting through contact, especially against bigger and stronger offensive linemen.

Talk about putting in the work. It's noticeable he's been hitting the gym and getting ready for even bigger things in 2025.

His weight and power are now looking like things of the past. Oweh looks absolutely yolked at OTAs—and it’s coming at the perfect time. He’s entering Year 5, playing for a contract extension. And if his arms are any indication, the 26-year-old is ready to get paid. I mean the guy could probably bench-press the Brinks truck the money comes in.

But fans weren't the only ones who noticed his physique—head coach John Harbaugh was seemingly in awe of his offseason workout program, saying: "You saw him out there, right? I mean, how does he look to you? He looks good."

The signs have been pointing toward a leap, and Oweh is doing everything to make it happen. He’s bigger and stepping into a season that could define the next phase of his career. The Ravens have built a defense with pieces all over the field, but the one thing that could take it to another level is a true closer in the front seven. If Oweh keeps trending the way he is, there’s a good chance he will become that player. And if he does, this Baltimore defense will be terrifying.
