Ravens can still pair Trey Hendrickson with an 8-time Pro Bowler waiting for a call

With a ton of free agents still available, the Baltimore Ravens have an opportunity to continue adding to their edge group with a decorated veteran.

The Baltimore Ravens knew they desperately needed to improve their defense this offseason, and they kicked off that process with the addition of productive pass rusher Trey Hendrickson. Of course, Baltimore had bigger plans, but no need to rehash that situation. The Ravens have Hendrickson, and they also have the opportunity to keep improving.

One way Baltimore can continue its growth is by calling a free agent that not many fans are thinking about. That free agent is Cam Jordan, who is looking for a new home for the first time in his career after 15 seasons with the New Orleans Saints. While he may not be a name who will get a lot of fans excited at this point in his career, Jordan is still productive and could be a good addition in Baltimore.

Baltimore Ravens could explore adding free agent defensive lineman Cam Jordan

Next season will be Jordan’s 16th year in the league, and he’ll turn 38 years old in July. Those two numbers could discourage fans from wanting him in a Ravens uniform. However, the veteran defender is still productive, and that’s all that matters.

In 2025, Jordan played in all 17 games, recording 10.5 sacks, 47 total tackles, 15 tackles for a loss, and two forced fumbles. To make things even more impressive, the veteran defender put up those numbers while just playing 54% of New Orleans’ defensive snaps. So while he may not be the player he was at his peak, when he made eight Pro Bowls in a span of 10 years, he clearly has something left in the tank.

That's all the Ravens should be concerned with, because they are in win-now mode. If Jordan can come in and be a productive pass rusher late into the year, he’ll help Baltimore move towards its goal of winning a Super Bowl. Additionally, since Jordan is a free agent, it will only cost the franchise money to sign him, not picks.

Jordan understands where he is in his career, so he’s probably not asking for an unreasonable contract, but he is likely seeking a one-year deal that recognizes he had double-digit sacks in 2025. If the Ravens can agree on a number with Cam Jordan, it would make sense to bring him in.
