The Baltimore Ravens have endless possibilities in the 2026 NFL Draft. It feels like they always do. While they’ll have to wait for 13 picks to pass before they can make a selection, they’re sitting pretty at no. 14. They also hold 11 draft picks.

With so many selections, the Ravens can pretty much address every need and then some. That some could be making strategic picks to fill out the depth of their roster, while simultaneously bringing in prospects with an intriguing ceiling. Among the most exciting players in this year’s draft is Arkansas quarterback Taylen Green.

Green is one of the prospects confirmed thus far to have a 30-visit with Baltimore. Would he have a role as a quarterback? Probably not. However, could he contribute in another spot? Possibly.

The Ravens already made their move for a backup quarterback this offseason. After lucking into bringing Tyler Huntley back to their team following the preseason last year, they didn’t make the same mistake twice. They re-signed Huntley to a two-year, $5 million contract extension in March.

If selected, Green could still be the team’s third quarterback. Sure, Baltimore doesn’t usually hold three quarterbacks on the active roster, but this is a new era. It’ll be Jesse Minter leading the way; it’s not John Harbaugh anymore.

Green’s athleticism also perfectly meshes with the current state of the quarterback room. He’d be another dangerous threat on the ground. I mean, a 4.36 40-yard dash, 43.5-inch vertical jump, and an over 11-foot broad jump? That’s ridiculous.

The fun really comes in with a potential position change looming for Green. At 6-foot-6, 227 pounds with that aforementioned athleticism, the former Arkansas Razorback looks like he was built in a lab. He has an extremely long reach, too, with over 34-inch arms. That profile screams tight end.

Green has made it known he’s going to stick at quarterback, but if the transition to the NFL doesn’t work out, there could be a switch to tight end in his future. He possesses all the measurables to truly dominate in that role.

Baltimore desperately needs some tight-end depth. That could be why they brought him in on a 30-visit. The team lost both of their backups to Mark Andrews in free agency, and Andrews has even been taking a step back in recent years. Sure, they signed Durham Smythe, but they need more of an athletic receiving threat. If developed well, Green could grow into that kind of player.

Of course, this is all a shot at a developmental piece. The Ravens can’t afford to make that the main tight end addition. Ideally, it’d be a selection made with one of their many Day 3 picks, but the hype that Green has gotten could push that out of the realm of possibilities. It would be an extremely fun pairing, though.
