The Baltimore Ravens will travel to Dallas to take on the Cowboys in Week 2 of the preseason, and both sides are expected to make this their “dress rehearsal” game. It remains to be seen if Lamar Jackson and Dak Prescott will play, but expect most of the healthy starters to get some action.

One player who is expected to see a ton of snaps is Brock Hoffman, an interior offensive lineman for the Cowboys. Hoffman graded out as the No. 26 ranked guard in the NFL last season, according to Pro Football Focus. But he isn’t a great fit in the new offensive scheme for the Cowboys, and there is a chance Dallas could be showcasing him for a trade this weekend.

Hoffman could be a potential trade target for Baltimore

The Ravens will get an extended look at Hoffman in Week 2 of the preseason, and if he performs well, he could be a potential trade target for Baltimore. The Ravens had some major issues at guard last week, with Daniel Faalele struggling in pass protection. Baltimore has Ben Cleveland on the roster, but he’s not known for his pass-blocking abilities either.

It wouldn’t take a lot for the Ravens to acquire Hoffman, considering he is a backup guard in a system that doesn’t suit him well. However, he is just the type of player the Ravens could really use on their offensive line. He has experience playing both guard and center, which means he could be a backup option to Faalele, even if he doesn’t start.

Hoffman started seven games last season, all at right guard while filling in for Zack Martin. As soon as Hoffman entered the lineup, the Cowboys’ run game took off, and he was a big reason why the offense finally found some traction.

The best part of Hoffman’s game is his attitude. He’s known for being a tough and physical player, which makes him a perfect fit in the AFC North. Hoffman has a reputation as someone who will play beyond the whistle, and the Ravens could use some more players with his demeanor on offense.

Most of the trades that happen during the preseason are between teams that play each other, so keep a close eye on No. 67 for the Cowboys, as he could be a potential trade target in the near future. And the best part is, it wouldn’t take a lot for the Ravens to acquire him, and yet, he could really help improve the interior of their offensive line.
