The Baltimore Ravens are kicking off their 2025 campaign with perhaps the biggest game of the NFL regular season. They will square off against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday Night Football in Buffalo, and the entire team has this game circled on their schedule.

Baltimore’s season ended at the hands of the Bills in the Divisional Round of the playoffs in 2024, and they have no one to blame but themselves. Countless self-inflicted errors sent them home in yet another disappointing playoff run. It was the second time they lost to Buffalo in the playoffs in the last five years, as well. On Sunday, they are looking for a little bit of revenge.

A win would not grant them total satisfaction, since it is only Week 1 of the regular season, but it offers them the chance to get started on the right foot and gain confidence against one of the best teams in the NFL.

Star defensive tackle Nnamdi Madubuike highlighted how important this game is during his press conference on Monday. He also mentioned the team is looking to get the bad taste out of their mouth from last year’s divisional matchup. His words will get Baltimore fans fired up.

“It was the last game we played as a unit," Madubuike said. “ So to go back there and play the same team that we lost to, that we believe we should have won. We made some self-inflicting mistakes, so everyone’s fired up. We’re just ready to go.”

The Ravens are clearly as locked in as a team can get. They have been focused on this year since the moment their 2024 campaign ended. Two-time MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson has been laser-focused on finally punching through the playoff wall, and All-Pro safety Kyle Hamilton, even after signing a historic extension, has told the media that the only thing he cares about is Week 1 against the Bills.

This team is clearly ready to come out firing, and it should be one of the most exciting games of the season, and fans get to see it all go down on primetime television. Baltimore carries the best offense in the league heading into 2025, and their defense, while horrid for most of last season, looks to be a top unit in the league this year. Buffalo is obviously right on their level, though.

The Bills are led by reigning MVP Josh Allen and an electric offense that also includes back-to-back 1,000-yard running back James Cook and wide receiver Khalil Shakir, who is one of the best players in the NFL after the catch. They also have a defense that forced the third-most turnovers in 2024 with 32.

It should be a magical game on Sunday, and with Baltimore’s attitude ahead of the week, their energy and aggressiveness should be on full display on every down.
