The Baltimore Ravens are embarking upon a new era under the tutelage of head coach Jesse Minter. It always felt like this team was a key piece or two away, and the organization has clearly decided that John Harbaugh and his staff were holding the Ravens back.

Minter has already brought in an excellent set of coaches in offensive coordinator Declan Doyle, defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver, and offensive line coach Dwayne Ledford. But Baltimore still needs some pieces on both sides of the ball before it can assume contender status once again.

Adding another pass-catcher for Lamar Jackson would be a huge asset for the offense. Rumors have begun swirling about a trade for disgruntled Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown, and Ravens running back Derrick Henry recently made his case.

Derrick Henry just made a convincing pitch for A.J. Brown to be traded to Baltimore

Henry appeared on the Up & Adams Show on Wednesday, and host Kay Adams asked about the potential of adding Brown to the Baltimore offense. It is safe to say that Henry is a fan of that idea.

"We would gladly love to have him," Henry said. "A.J. is a dog. I played with him in Tennessee with [Mike Vrabel]. And [Lamar Jackson] likes playing with guys who got a dog mentality, so he would love A.J. Come on, come on over!"

Adams then asked Henry to make a sales pitch to Brown.

"Please, A.J., come to Baltimore. Let's go get this ring. You got one in Philly, y'all done did that; come to Baltimore," Henry said. "We could add A.J. Brown? Him and Zay [Flowers]? That would be crazy. And then [Rashod] Bate[man]? That'd be crazy. Mark [Andrews], gotta get [Isaiah] Likely back. Oh, we're cooking."

Now, the Eagles have an out in Brown's contract after the 2026 NFL season, so perhaps they'll try to mend the fences and make another run at a Lombardi Trophy next year. But if Brown's displeasure continues into the offseason, he could be an even more obvious trade candidate.

He won't be cheap, as Brown's salary cap hits over the next four years are $23.4 million, $22.7 million, $27.6 million and $29.3 million. Baltimore isn't exactly flush with cap space over the next four years, either.

But in a desperation move, Eric DeCosta could put all of his chips into the center of the table and make a Los Angeles Rams-like push for the Super Bowl, giving up draft picks and muddying the franchise's financials for one shot at glory. Henry is clearly on board.
