The Baltimore Ravens will soon drop their full schedule for the 2026 NFL season. It’s a huge year for them as they look to bounce back from a horrific 2025 campaign. This year, it looks like the tables will be turned on them.

In recent years, the AFC North rivalry between the Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals has turned in some instant classics. The two foes usually play on primetime, but in the last four years, each of those primetime games has been played in Baltimore. Not this year.

According to Jordan Schultz, the Ravens will travel to Cincinnati for a Thursday Night Football bout with the Bengals in Week 17. Heading into The Jungle is never easy, and when it’s in a season-defining battle, the stakes will only be higher. Thankfully, Baltimore has a not-so-secret weapon: Lamar Jackson. He has history on his side.

Baltimore Ravens get must-win late-season scenario with history on their side

Across his eight-year career, Lamar Jackson has simply had the Bengals’ number. He’s 11-3 against them, and his numbers are simply unbelievable. Over 14 games, Jackson has lit them up for well over 3,000 all-purpose yards, throwing for 24 touchdowns to just six interceptions, and adding another two touchdowns on the ground.

Of course, it’s going to be a tall task going up against Joe Burrow. He’s considered one of the top five quarterbacks in the NFL for a reason. And although the Bengals have been more competitive since selecting Burrow first overall in the 2020 NFL Draft, Jackson’s record against him is just as impressive. He’s 7-2 in matchups when Burrow starts on the opposite side.

After complaining about the lack of home primetime games against the Ravens last year, Joe Burrow got his wish (crazy how that works). It will present a bit of a tougher task for Jackson once Week 17 rolls around. He’ll be entering a crazy road environment in the bitter cold at Paycoor Stadium on New Year’s Eve. However, even that won’t hold the two-time MVP back.

Jackson is 5-1 on the road against the Bengals in his career, and 4-1 when he squares off against Burrow in such matchups. The road crowd simply doesn’t affect him. He’s going to do damage, and while the lights in Cincinnati might be bright, Jackson almost always brings his 'A' game on primetime.

Regardless of the records, the past is the past. The Week 17 showdown against the Bengals will hopefully be one that carries major playoff implications, and the Ravens will need Lamar Jackson at his best.
