The Baltimore Ravens have been circling the pass-rusher market all offseason. Whether it’s free agency, the draft, or a potential trade, one thing has been crystal clear—this team needs help getting after the quarterback. Well, the football gods might have just delivered the perfect solution on a silver platter.

The Tennessee Titans have officially released Harold Landry, per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. Once rumored to be a potential trade target for the Ravens, Landry is now available without the need to cough up draft capital. It doesn’t get much better than that.

Baltimore now has a golden opportunity to add a proven edge rusher to a defense that, as of now, is filled with question marks. Odafe Oweh is posting cryptic tweets, Kyle Van Noy will be 34 years old, and David Ojabo is still an unknown. If general manager Eric DeCosta is serious about keeping the Ravens' defense elite, Landry should now be a priority.

Ravens should target Harold Landry III in free agency

For a team that finished second in the league in sacks last year, the Ravens’ pass rush has more uncertainty than it should. Oweh’s future is murky, and while Van Noy was a pleasant surprise last season, banking on him as the main guy isn’t exactly ideal. Baltimore needs a proven pass rusher in his prime, and Landry fits the bill.

Landry has game-changing ability. The 28-year-old finished last season with nine sacks, 18 quarterback pressures, and 71 total tackles. He’s eclipsed nine sacks in four of his last five seasons and racked up 50.5 over his career. That’s the kind of consistency the Ravens could use right now.

Originally, the Ravens were rumored to be in the mix for a Landry trade, but now they don’t have to give up anything to get him. No draft picks, no negotiations with Tennessee—just open the checkbook and get it done. And with the Titans moving on to clear cap space, Baltimore could even land him at a reasonable number.

The Ravens have options to address their pass rush, whether through free agency or the draft, but few available players bring Landry’s level of production and experience. With 50.5 career sacks and multiple seasons of high-end play, he’s exactly the kind of impact rusher Baltimore needs. Now that he’s available without giving up any draft capital, there’s really no excuse not to make a move.
