Baltimore Ravens’ fans held their breath on Wednesday after it was reported that star quarterback Lamar Jackson was absent from practice. After dealing with a hamstring injury for several weeks, the two-time MVP’s health was in question once again.
However, Jackson was out on Wednesday with a knee injury. He was one of five Ravens not practicing that day. Running back Justice Hill, wide receiver Rashod Bateman (ankle), linebacker Jay Higgins (knee), and cornerback Marlon Humphrey (finger) were the others.

While a knee injury can be worrisome, not only given Jackson’s playstyle, but also the poor performance of the offensive line in 2025, Head Coach John Harbaugh gave an encouraging update on Jackson’s expected health for the coming days.
John Harbaugh gives a positive update on Lamar Jackson
Following practice, Harbaugh told the media that Jackson should be good to go going into Sunday’s game against the AFC North rival Cleveland Browns.
“[Jackson] will be listed with a knee, so not the hamstring, nothing there,” Harbaugh said. “Some soreness coming out of the game. He should be okay, looking forward to practice tomorrow.”
Jackson has taken way too many hits this season. The poor protection up front has clearly led to some frustrations on offense; Jackson’s health has also taken a hit. He scrambled a lot in last Sunday’s win over the Minnesota Vikings. He had nine rush attempts for 36 yards that week, the most he has had all season. He was also sacked once, took three QB hits, and was pressured 13 times.
In just his second game back after missing three games with a hamstring issue, some soreness is expected, but the offensive line is not helping his cause. Guards Andrew Vorhees and Daniel Faalele must improve and keep the pocket clean on the interior, and right tackle Roger Rosengarten has to shake off the sophomore slump to give Jackson and the offense a fair shot to be successful from week to week.
The troubles from the group up front were a huge reason as to why the offense struggled to make the explosive plays people have grown accustomed to seeing in Baltimore in Week 10. They failed to give Jackson and the rushing attack the time and space to make plays throughout the game, and while they got the job done, it was not always pretty.
We will see where Jackson is on Thursday. It sounds like he should be back on the field then, so for now, fans can hold off on hitting the panic button.
