There are a million ways to troll someone on the internet, but Marlon Humphrey keeps finding new ones. The Baltimore Ravens’ cornerback doesn’t miss a beat — especially when it comes to clowning AFC North rivals in front of the entire football world.

When the Ravens posted a photo of first-round pick Malaki Starks inking his rookie contract, Humphrey couldn’t help himself. He slid in with a caption that landed like a punch to the ribs of the Bengals:

“Contract wasn’t signed but still practicing (hand clap emoji)”

If that looks like a cheap jab, it’s because it absolutely is. And it couldn’t have been aimed any more clearly.

Marlon Humphrey trolls Bengals rookie over contract mess

The message wasn’t hard to decipher. Cincinnati’s top draft pick, Shemar Stewart, has been sitting out of offseason workouts because of a contract dispute. Not over money, but over specific language the Bengals decided to wedge into the deal — language that would let them void guaranteed money if he ever defaulted on the contract.

It seems as though the Bengals are trying to sneak new contract language into Shemar Stewart’s rookie deal — language that wasn’t in Ja’Marr Chase’s deal and wasn’t in Amarius Mims’ either. Stewart’s side wants consistency. Cincinnati wants control. That’s the holdup. So now the No. 17 overall pick is stuck walking around aimlessly on the sideline while his teammates are practicing on the field.

It's an absolute mess and just hilariously ridiculous. What are the Bungles doing? What is the point? Stewart keeps waiting on a contract that should’ve been finalized weeks ago.

Meanwhile, the Ravens got their guy signed, suited up, and integrated in less time than it took the Bengals to draft a red flag. And their longest-tenured star couldn’t help but point it out — publicly, proudly, and without hesitation.

The Bengals are already juggling a Trey Hendrickson headache, a rookie holdout, and a fanbase wondering if the front office even knows how to handle a defense anymore. So naturally, Humphrey threw gasoline on it all and laughed maniacally while doing it. Because when it comes to AFC North beef, Marlon never takes a bye week.
