Ravens must leave these 3 underachieving contributors in 2025

The 2025 season should be the last for these Ravens.

The Baltimore Ravens are entering a highly anticipated regular-season finale in Week 18. The AFC North hangs in the balance on Sunday Night Football, where the winner between Baltimore and the Pittsburgh Steelers will punch their ticket to the playoffs.

While there is a lot on the line in Sunday’s game, it has obviously been an underwhelming campaign for the Ravens. Sure, once the playoffs kick off, everyone is 0-0, but it’s fair to say that even if they make the playoffs, Baltimore will be significant underdogs. It feels like it’s been a disaster in 2025, and regardless of where the rest of the road takes them, the front office needs to hit the restart button in several areas.

Baltimore has a stacked free agent class set to sign extensions in the coming offseason. Unfortunately, they won’t be able to keep them all, and they may lose some key starters. In other cases, however, it will be the smarter move to let players depart and start anew elsewhere.

Here are three players Baltimore should cut loose following the 2025 season.

3 players Ravens must leave in 2025

Isaiah Likely

Tight end Isaiah Likely had a rough start after a foot injury kept him out for an extended period of time before the regular season started. He didn’t make his season debut until Week 5, and since then, it has been a disappointing year.

In 10 games, Likely has tallied 25 receptions for 275 yards and one touchdown. He has failed to blossom into the future of the tight end room like many were expecting. He has made far too many mental mistakes, including two fumbles and a key drop in Week 14 against the Steelers in the end zone.

The Ravens already extended tight end Mark Andrews on a three-year, $39.3 million deal. They likely can't afford to lock in much more money at tight end.

David Ojabo

It’s obvious that outside linebacker David Ojabo is playing his final snaps in Baltimore. The former second-round selection is reaching bust status, and while there is still time for him to revive his career, that is expected to come on a different team.

Ojabo hasn't seen an abundance of snaps this season, and when he has seen the field, his production has been lackluster. In 195 defensive snaps, he has accounted for just 0.5 sacks. Through four seasons, he has 4.5 sacks and hasn’t accrued more than two in a season.

The Ravens’ front office should focus on adding star-level talent this offseason to improve one of the league’s worst pass rush groups.

Kyle Van Noy

Outside linebacker Kyle Van Noy has had his best seasons with Baltimore late in his career. Between 2023 and 2024, he totaled 21.5 sacks. However, in his age-34 season, he has two sacks with one game left to play.

The aforementioned abysmal pass rush group has leaned on Van Noy as a starter in 2025. He’s a versatile defender who does well in coverage and run defense, but he has taken a significant step back as a pass rusher. In 313 pass rush snaps, he has generated 27 pressures, which ranks fourth on the team. That’s even behind late-season acquisition Dre’Mont Jones.

With Van Noy, it could make some sense to bring back a veteran presence, but after a rough season at 34 years old, he may not have much left in the tank, and it could be time to move on.
