Every year, the Baltimore Ravens’ offense does impossible things. Yes, last year was one of the first times under Lamar Jackson where they seemed containable, but when healthy, the unit put on a show.
Specifically, the air attack showcases those signature plays on almost a weekly basis. Jackson’s ability to evade pressure and keep plays alive is second to none, and when you have Zay Flowers running routes, the field is bound to open up. Pair that with an outstanding relationship on and off the field, and that’s a duo that’ll do damage.
It’s truly remarkable what the two can do when they’re in sync, and Flowers talked about what makes their chemistry so special.
“If the play breaks down, we turn it to backyard football,” Flowers said. “That’s why it works. We understand, if the play breaks down, go get open. The play’s not done.”

If you rank the best quarterback/wide receiver duos in the NFL right now, Jackson and Flowers would easily slot inside the top-10. While Jackson has put up several MVP-caliber seasons, Flowers has held up his end of the bargain by consistently taking another step each season of his three-year career.
When those two link up, their numbers are simply electric. Across 46 games together, Jackson and Flowers have accounted for 215 receptions, 2,917 yards, and 15 touchdowns. However, what’s even better is their seemingly telepathic connection.
As Flowers mentioned, he and Jackson bring a sort of backyard brand of football to the stage—if you've ever played the Backyard Football games, imagine having two Pablo Sanchezes on the same team. They share a sixth sense in a way. They’re unstoppable when they get into that mode.
Multiple times per game, you’ll see Jackson miraculously break free from the pocket, and when that happens, Flowers works his way back to the ball and into an open area for Jackson to find. Refusing to give up on the play in those moments acts as Baltimore’s joker card. That mentality is what makes the duo of Jackson and Flowers all the more impressive.
When you have a wideout room that lacks stable depth like the Ravens, a player like Flowers who is always on the same page with his quarterback is a necessity. Sure, there’s hope that some guys on the current roster can break out, but the fact of the matter is, Flowers is the only proven guy that Jackson can trust right now. Flowers will need to continue to blossom into the superstar that the organization (and Jackson) know he can be.
As for Jackson, the two-time MVP needs to stay healthy this year. We know that he’s as dangerous as any player in league history when he’s at 100%. As long as the offensive line keeps him upright and out of danger, then he should have no problem bouncing back and striking fear back into opposing defenses alongside Flowers in 2026.
