Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews has been one of the most critiqued players in the NFL this offseason. The three-time Pro Bowler accumulated just 673 receiving yards in 2024, but went on a hot streak to end the regular season, catching all 11 of his touchdowns in the final 12 weeks of the year. He has been the center of attention due to his disappointing playoff performance, though.

Everyone knows Andrews had a rough go of it against the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional Round. While he made five catches for 61 yards, he made two critical mistakes. One was a lost fumble midway through the fourth quarter that led to points for Buffalo, and the other was a drop on a game-tying two-point conversion with less than two minutes to go. With that being the lasting memory from the team’s 2024 campaign, Andrews is looking for a bounce-back year. And he needs it.

Joel Corry of CBS Sports outlined 15 bounce-back candidates for the 2025 NFL season, and Andrews was among those listed.

“Andrews had a 2024 playoffs he would like to forget,” Corry wrote. “Andrews, who turns 30 on Sept. 6 and is in a contract year, is probably auditioning for his next team this season since it's hard to envision the Ravens making a significant investment in two tight ends in 2026.”

As Corry mentioned, Andrews is likely on his way out of Baltimore following this season. It will be tough to see the team’s all-time leader in receiving touchdowns depart, but Isaiah Likely appears more than ready to handle the responsibility as the starting tight end. Baltimore also has several other key free agents set to hit the market in 2026, which will almost certainly take Andrews out of the equation moving forward.

Andrews is still a starting-caliber tight end, and he will surely be a hot commodity on the free agent market if he proves he is still close to his Pro Bowl level from years past. He had a slow start to the season, much in part due to his recovery from injury, but he continued to show flashes of a top 10 tight end. However, as he heads into his age-30 campaign, there could be some questions about regression, which makes it crucial that he bounces back in 2025.

The bounce-back campaign may not come in the numbers department, as the Ravens have a deep arsenal on offense. However, Baltimore will be looking for him to contribute on a consistent week-to-week basis and help get the team over the hump in the postseason. They have been plagued by mistake after mistake in the playoffs, but this year’s group has a chance to finally reach the Super Bowl after countless agonizing seasons. Mark Andrews should be a huge part of that.
