The Baltimore Ravens are one of the NFL's most exciting teams. Their roster is filled with flashy playmakers all over the field. From Lamar Jackson to Kyle Hamilton, Baltimore has several players who could dominate flag football in the 2028 Olympics, but it sounds like they’re already shutting that idea down…for now.

Pro Bowl wide receiver Zay Flowers quieted all the Olympic talk down in Tuesday’s press conference at voluntary OTAs, mentioning all he’s focused on is the Super Bowl.

“I ain’t really worried about the Olympics. I’m trying to win a Super Bowl,” Flowers told the media.

Baltimore’s Super Bowl aspirations are all that matters

If this offseason has made anything clear, the Ravens haven’t even pondered the possibility of playing in the flag football event at the 2028 Olympics. In 2024, Jackson seemingly shut down the thought, and Harbaugh was not too pleased with the idea of Jackson suiting up during a March press conference. Flowers is the most recent Raven to slam that door shut.

When the Olympics draw closer, there might be players like Jackson and Flowers to hop on the hype train to help Team USA grab a gold medal in 2028. Their natural athletic abilities will make them prime candidates to wear the red, white, and blue that summer. However, in 2025, Baltimore wants a Super Bowl more than anything.

Since the beginning of Jackson’s tenure with the Ravens, the critics have clamored about the team’s lack of playoff success. Whether it was Jackson’s miscues, coaching failures, or costly turnovers in big moments, it seems Baltimore can’t shake the monkey off their back. As we inch closer to the upcoming season, they are itching to prove the doubters wrong and reach the pinnacle of their respective careers by hoisting a Lombardi Trophy.

2025 might be the Ravens' best chance to pounce on that goal. They’ve fielded an outstanding roster ahead of the 2025 season, loaded with talent from top to bottom. The defense changed its tune since the beginning of the 2024 campaign and now looks like one of the more formidable groups in the NFL once again.

On offense, the unit is a juggernaut. Jackson and Derrick Henry might be the most dynamic duo in the league, and the passing offense has various weapons scattered around to beat teams over the top. Throw in one of the best offensive lines in football, and you have a runaway train that’s almost impossible to stop.

The idea of Ravens stars playing in the Olympics is fun. It’d be great to see them help Team USA take home the gold. But right now, those talks should remain silent until the 2028 Summer Games arrive.
