Ravens quietly crushed the 2026 NFL Draft with two huge steals

Let's hope these picks end up being as big of steals as they're being advertised as.

It's no secret that the Baltimore Ravens are a team known for its ability to draft well. This year looks to be no different, as Eric DeCosta has once again outdone himself in that department. He brought in another very strong draft class.

Nick Baumgardner of The Athletic recently put together a list of draft sleepers based on their rankings in "The Beast". Two members of the Ravens' 2026 draft class made the cut.

The first to do so is wide receiver Elijah Sarratt, who the Ravens landed in the fourth round (115th overall) out of Indiana. "The Beast" gave Sarratt a third-round grade so Baltimore being able to get him a round later was excellent value. Baumgardner summed it up best, noting this was a classic move by this franchise.

"Classic Baltimore pick here. Sarratt (6-2, 210) is not an overly impressive athlete, nor does he have breakaway speed or eye-popping explosion. He is, however, one of the most disciplined receivers in this class. Nicknamed “Waffle House” because he’s always open, Sarratt was a contested-catch machine at Indiana."

Baltimore Ravens once again pull off massive steals in 2026 NFL Draft

The other name to make an appearance on Baumgardner's list is Rayshaun Benny, a defensive tackle the Ravens took in the seventh round out of Michigan. Considering that Benny was given a fourth/fifth-round grade, him not going off the board until the seventh round is looked at as a massive steal by the Ravens.

"Powerful, explosive and long, Benny (6-3, 298, with 33 3/8-inch arms) is a bit inconsistent. When things come together, though, he can be a dynamic interior pocket pusher. He’s an ascending talent who bloomed later in college and could truly find his groove in a familiar NFL system under Jesse Minter, his former defensive coordinator at Michigan."

Further making this a great pick is that, as Baumgardner mentioned, Benny played under Jesse Minter at Michigan. As we know, Minter is now the head coach of the Ravens so that's a fun reunion taking place there.

We haven't seen these two picks do anything at the pro level but if their draft grades going into the event have anything to say about it, hopefully, they outperform where they were drafted. If so, those would be two more big draft wins for the Ravens front office.
